    SDLC Partners is looking for visual designers! In your role as a visual designer, your day-to-day tasks will consist of creating visually engaging, innovative and functional mobile, print, and web products. One of the key aspects of your role is a thorough understanding of the right balance between design principles, business needs, and technology constraints.

    Responsibilities

    As a visual designer, your responsibilities will include areas of design such as typography, iconography, color, space and texture. You will use your knowledge, expertise and skills in all these fields to help our users successfully navigate and become comfortable with the products we develop. At times, you may be asked to develop prototype-quality implementations on web technologies. 

    More responsibilities in detail:

    • Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes business analysts, engineers, project managers, and clients in order to create simple, easy-to-use software
    • Translate client business requirements, user needs, technical requirements into designs that are visually enticing, easy to use, and emotionally engaging
    • Present and justify designs to peers and client senior staff
    • Continually monitor the latest standards, changes, trends in visual design field

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in design-related field. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced degrees in relevant disciplines, particularly interdisciplinary studies like Human-Computer Interaction.
    • A minimum of three years of professional experience in designing brand identities, grid systems, editorial layouts and applications for print, web, desktop and mobile.
    • The ability to refine other people’s ideas and come up with new ones to create a highly designed visual experience.
    • Well organized, responsible and dedicated, with the ability to work on multiple projects and deliver refined design in a short time.
    • Demonstrated expertise with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
    • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with UX software such as InVision, Balsamiq, Axure, Sketch, Principle, etc…
    • Preference will be given to candidates who have HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills
    • Demonstrate understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
    • Be comfortable with ambiguity and making decisions with imperfect information
    • Speak confidently and intelligently about your process, ideas, and solutions
    • Focus on the details, but meet deadlines
    • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design
